Campaign Brand System · Case Study

Guy Tuccero for State House

A first-time Connecticut candidate needed a complete, credible identity, and needed it fast. Over one campaign season I built the whole system: brand and signage, print collateral, apparel, a live website, and the candidate photography that anchors it all.

The brief

One candidate, almost no name recognition, a whole identity to build.

New candidates have to look established on day one. The goal was a single, consistent look that would carry from a lawn on Main Street to a mailbox to a rally shirt to a phone screen, all pointing people toward one place: VoteGuy.org. Everything below shares the same navy, red, and white palette, the same bold type, and the same core message, so each piece reinforces the others.

Yard Signs & Banners

Signage that reads at 30 miles per hour

A family of yard signs built around a few tight messages: the candidate name, "The Right Guy," and "Not a Politician." Oversized type, a clean navy and red palette, and heavy contrast keep every sign legible from a moving car, while a shared layout ties the whole roadside set together.

Print Collateral

A palm card that makes the case

A two-sided door and event card. The front leads with the candidate and a single promise, the back lays out the platform in four scannable points. Built to press specs with proper bleed and CMYK color, color-matched to every other piece.

Apparel

Three shirts, three messages

A rally shirt set, one message per color: "Too Beautiful" on navy, "Not a Politician" on red, and "The Right Guy" on white. Each was delivered as print-ready art on a transparent background, with the ink count trimmed per shirt to keep the run affordable for a volunteer team.

The portraits behind the brand

I shot the candidate headshots that anchor the palm card, the website, and social, lit with a large soft box so they look consistent everywhere they appear.

The result

A first-time candidate who looked established from day one.

Five kinds of deliverables, one coherent identity. Because the palette, type, and message were locked early and shared across every touchpoint, each new piece came together faster and every piece made the others look more official. Signs pointed to the site, the site echoed the card, the shirts echoed the signs.
