Commercial Photography — Common Questions

What types of commercial photography do you offer?

Product photography, corporate and team headshots, event and conference coverage, restaurant and food photography, brand lifestyle imagery, and short-form social video. If your project doesn't fit neatly into one category, that's normal — most brand work blends several. Recent clients include Paramount+'s Frasier relaunch, MOOV Health, La Joya Fresh Mexican, and Comomango.

How does commercial photography pricing work?

Commercial work is scoped and priced per project — every brand's needs are different. We'll discuss your goals, intended usage, timeline, and creative vision, then provide a detailed quote. Most commercial projects begin with a no-charge discovery call.

Do you offer video as well as photography?

Yes. Dream Life is a full-service photography and video studio. We can capture stills and short-form video in the same session — ideal for brands that need a consistent look across a website, social media, and advertising from one creative team.

Who owns the images, and how do usage rights work?

Usage and licensing are defined in your project agreement so you know exactly how the images can be used. We tailor the license to your needs — web and social, print, advertising, or broader commercial campaigns. Just tell us where the images will appear and we'll scope the rights accordingly.

Do you shoot on location or in a studio?

Both. Our studio just off I-95 in Westbrook, CT gives us full control over lighting for product and headshot work, while on-location shoots capture your space, team, or food in its real environment. We'll recommend the best setup for your goals during the discovery call.

What's the turnaround on a commercial project?

Most commercial galleries are delivered within 1–2 weeks of the shoot. We'll give you a clear delivery date before the project begins as part of your quote, and rush delivery is available when a campaign deadline is tight.

Can you work with our brand guidelines or creative team?

Absolutely. Share your brand guidelines, mood boards, or reference images and we'll match the look you need. We're comfortable working alongside an in-house marketing team, art director, or agency, and we can also provide the creative direction ourselves if you'd prefer to hand it off.

Do you travel for commercial assignments?

Yes. We serve businesses throughout Connecticut at no extra charge, and we travel for assignments beyond CT with travel expenses billed at cost. Tell us where you need us and we'll fold it into the project quote.
